About me

My name is Jackie Boot. I am an MSc-qualified, UKCP-registered Person-Centred & Experiential Psychotherapist. I bring several years of clinical experience to my work, offering therapy for adults in Nottingham, both in-person and online.

My work is grounded in relationship, presence, and respect for each person’s unique experience of the world. I aim to offer a relationship that meets you where you are, so that you can explore what’s going on – whether you’re facing something specific, or noticing a quieter sense of change or uncertainty.

Alongside private practice, I have worked extensively in community and educational settings, supporting people with a wide range and often complex experiences. This work has shaped a therapeutic approach that is attentive to relationship, power, and the wider contexts that influence how we experience ourselves and others.

This includes an awareness of how social expectations, inequality, and experiences of marginalisation can shape identity, relationships, and wellbeing. I aim to offer a respectful and inclusive space where you can bring your whole self - whatever your gender, neurodiversity, diagnosis, cultural background, heritage, identity, or life circumstances - and be met with care, curiosity, and understanding.

I work reflectively, supported by ongoing professional development and regular clinical supervision.

Before training as a psychotherapist, I completed a BSc (Hons) in Biological Science and worked within corporate environments.  This background informs my awareness of the mind-body connection, as well as the pressures and emotional demands that can arise in high-stress roles and everyday life.
