About me
My name is Jackie Boot.
I am a Person-Centred & Experiential Psychotherapist, MSc-qualified and UKCP-registered.
I work with adults in private practice, offering both in-person and online therapy.
My work is grounded in relationship, presence, and respect for each person’s unique experience. I aim to offer a relationship that meets you, where you are, so that you can explore what’s going on – whether facing something specific or navigating a subtle sense of change or uncertainty.
Alongside private practice, my experience has largely been shaped within community and educational settings. I have worked with a wide range of people and circumstances. These experiences have deepened my understanding of how relationships, past experiences, and wider social contexts – including gender, power and oppression – can shape our emotional and physical wellbeing.
My work is informed by a commitment to equality, dignity and respect, working with people of all genders and identities. I undertake ongoing professional development and regular clinical supervision to ensure my work remains ethical, reflective and responsive.
Before training as a psychotherapist, I completed a BSc (Hons) in Biological Science and worked within corporate environments. This background informs my awareness of the mind-body connection, as well as the pressures and emotional demands that can arise in high-stress roles and everyday life.
